I Love this shop!!!! Cathy is warm and friendly and somehow manages to remember everyone by name! She is always willing to help with a project and her classes are extremely reasonable. The atmosphere is this shop is VERY positive! It is an oasis.

I would agree with the previous post. I live in Maryland and travel to this store for the classes, atmosphere and incredibly helpful and friendly Cathy!!! She's a one-of-a-kind!

I love it here. The atmosphere is very homey and comforting. I am not one for being in a room with more than 5 people (other than family) and I still felt comfortable while a class was being conducted.

As a Swarthmore student, I walk down to visit Ms. Cathy on a regular basis--most of the times to buy yarn, but sometimes just to show her my projects. She gives a generous 20% discount to Swarthmore students, which helps make knitting more affordable for my meager budget. After getting twists in my hats more than a few times, I went to the knitting store to sit down and cast on there, and everyone in the store was eager to help me get better--they even looked at my scarf and "diagnosed" a problem I was having that I didn't even know was a problem!
In short, this place rocks. Miss Cathy and the patrons make for an cozy learning atmosphere that welcomes everyone, young and old. Come for the yarn, stay for the company, and pick up some tricks on the way at this lovely store owned by a lovely lady.
