This store is going to be AWESOME!!! Affordable yarns that are awesome to knit with.

Liked everything I saw at the grand opening tonight! Beautiful yarns beautifully arranged, a good-sized classroom, and a really nice seating area for sitting and knitting. There's even a Ravelry workstation for a shopper to figure just how much of the wonderful yarn to buy!

Shopped 8/12/09. Delightful owner, well laid out shop, nice variety - even without all the stock in yet - & very reasonable prices. This is one LYS I will revisit.

I am so pleased that Fibre Space has opened! This really is a wonderful place to visit. The classes are really great; the atmosphere is equally great! The yarn selection there is very good and offers options to what "everyone else" carries.

I happened upon this shop by accident and I'm so happy I did. I've bought so many wonderful fibres from their friendly staff and I'm considering taking some knitting classes in their cozy classroom. Fibre Space is a must visit in Old Town.

This shop is fantastic, and beats out the other one in the area hands-down. I've already taken three classes there and can't wait to learn more. Bicrafters (knit AND crochet) are made to feel very welcome, and crochet isn't denigrated or dismissed here the way it unfortunately is at many yarn stores. Yarn and pattern selections are very thoughtful and deliberate, and I love the ambiance. Clean and modern with retro accents. Staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and encouraging. There's even a computer station set up for emergency Ravelry use! Can't recommend this place enough.

I drive a half hour north to get to this shop. It is great. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they have a great selection. I wish I could make it to some of the knit nights or classes, but haven't. I would highly recommend going there for your yarn needs.

What an amazing shop. A great selection and so many special functions to make you want to be there all the time.

The staff is very friendly, I just wish there was more seating.

Really nice knitting store. Great selection of upscale fibers. Prices are fair for what they're offering. Have a nice bargain section, but I had to ask where it was. Staff was exceptionally helpful, and did not hover, which i love.

Nice selection of patterns right next to the yarns you'd need to make a similar item. Well laid out shop, with yarns grouped according to weight. Seems like a fun place.

Staff are young & hip and welcoming to fiberholics of all ages. Very helpful, great selection of yarn, needles, notions & accessories. It can be very easy to drop a wad of cash here and walk away with a smile on your face.

I just loved the window display when the shop was sponsoring crochet sessions for the Smithsonian Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef--a mannequin was "swimming" over a colorful wooly reef! I still smile when I come across pictures of this display. In truth, I saw the picture first and said, "I've GOT to go visit this store!"

They may need to rethink layout a bit. When I was there, they were constantly redirecting people lined up at the register away from the wall of needles, which obviously was put there for convenience's sake, but then shoppers have to wade thru the line to get to them. Guess they weren't thinking about having "rush hours".

Best. Place. Ever.

The staff is wonderfully friendly, the selection amazing, and the rav-dedicated computer is something EVERY yarn store should do.

love this store.

An amazing store. Amazing selection. Friendly, funny, helpful AND knowledgable staff. The owner of the store actually taught me how to knit at the StitchDC location in Georgetown (now closed) and I'm so glad that she left them to open this WONDERFUL yarn store. Even though it's not really convenient for me to get to, I still go out of the way to make it to this LYS.

This store is fantastic. The people who work here are helpful and do not hover. They are well informed about all the yarn they carry. The buyer must do a great deal of research; the shop carries multiple local and US manufactured yarns. The store pattern selection was impressive.

One of my absolute favorite places to play.I don't hold it against Danielle that she likes playing with pointy sticks and she doesn't make faces at me for only playing with hooks(just for the weird things I make with my hooks) ;).lots of new friends Thursday stitch on space is lots of fun.
