I love the Fancy Tiger. It is where I took my first knitting class and where I often go for inspiration. It is a small store, but very hip and indie and fun. Check it out!

I recently visited Denver and went to about 5 yarn stores, and I really enjoyed the Fancy Tiger. It is a small store with a really interesting and unique inventory, lots of stuff I haven't seen anywhere else. Definitely would go back!

Not a place to go to if you are looking for any one thing in particular, and not very kid friendly either.

Fancy Tiger is owned by great people who are responsive to the crafting community's needs. Their originally small (but nice) yarn selection has been expanded and they carry a lot of eco yarn. Amazing selection of fiber for such a small store. Classes are held in a dedicated basement space around a large table -- nice to not have classes blocking shoppers. Lots of fun fabrics as well. Originally I was hesitant to visit the store because I thought it would be one of those hip places that give a cold shoulder to the non-hip but that is absolutely not the case. Welcoming to all, including children when I've been there. They are small so can't carry everything but what they carry is choice.

Oops. Forgot to rate the store in my September 16 review.

I love Fancy Tiger. I know it's a small store, but I love the ever-changing selection of goods in the store. They are always very helpful and friendly. I appreciate their ecological choices and the very friendly atmosphere. This is a store that seems to constantly evolve to meet their customers needs. I visit it very often and am never disappointed. Very much for the new crafter/ knitter and more youth-oriented than other knitting stores.

For a small store, the owner picks her yarns with a lot of TLC. When I first walked in I had my doubts, as there was a bunch of fabric for quilting and I didn't think that I'd find anything of interest in the kniting section.
I was wrong.
The just got in this great new Habu merino & stainless steel yarn that I've been dying to try so I bought the scarf kit. There is a fabulous kid merino from australia that begs to be handled.
Upstairs is dedicated to spinning and I had a lot of fun picking out fiber. The staff greeted me upon entry (very important to me) and even took some roving out to photograph in case I wanted more of the same color. They were friendly without being overbearing. I will definitely be stopping back next time in town.
