Notes
Fabrications is an independent gallery, shop and studio dedicated to all aspects of contemporary textiles and design. With a particular interest in recycling and Eco design.
The haberdashery section stocks a range of unusual wool, cheap odd balls, regular and giant knitting needles, Knitting Nannies, Circular needles, wooden kid’s needles, crochet hooks, inspirational items, kits and textile publications.
But please let us know any requests, as we are happy to try and source them for you!
Nearest Tube: Bethnal Green Station. Take the exit to the right, and walk up Cambridge Heath Road until you come to Regents Canal, then take a left after the canal and follow Andrews Road over to the market.

Fabrications is a friendly Hackney hub of ideas. Part gift shop, part haberdashery, part learning centre, anything could happen after a trip to this place. Barley loves her local community, most of her wares being made by local people. Her knitting and crochet classes are big and friendly, with cups of tea, and her cat Tommy joins in the fun.
Barley is a weaver, with a passion for recycling. For us knitters she stocks Sirdar, handspun and wooden needles by Sue Russel, as well as books and kits. We love Barley because she listens and if she can't help with what you need she'll send you to someone who can.
Fabrications was there back in the days before Broadway market was fashionable - it's a solid presence we are most grateful for.
