I have vowed not to go to this store again because the choices are limited and I walk out having been convinced to buy something other than I wanted.

i've been knitting for my whole life and make things for my grandchildren now. all i can say is that i wish they were around way before this becasue of the amazing selection, and the way they treat you like family. The help is amazing. The only place i will ever go to

BEST STORE IN THE WORLD. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY IN THE STORE, AND TO HAVE SOME AS SPECIAL AS THAT IS ALL I COULD EVER ASK FOR. SOMEONE WHO GOES ANYWHERE ELSE IS MENTAL.

After going to ALL the local yarn shops, I have found that each store has a specialty. Creative Knitworks focuses primarily on Debbie Bliss, Patons and wools, they used to sell Noro, but has since stopped because she says Yarn Diva carries, which is correct since I went there and she said she can't carry it because Creative Knitworks does. Oh well, I guess the only place to get it is The Stitchery in Pearl River (quarky people, but very knowledgable about the yarn they carry). As for Close Knits in Hillsdale, pleasant ladies, quaint store, very nice yarn, but a little far for me to run to. I absolutely loved the Yarn Diva, AnnMarie (Owner) and Dina (daughter) are a great team. I learned so much about yarns without the fancy names and have come to realize out of all the yarn stores in the area, the Yarn Diva is not only less expensive, but they have the most excusite yarns and the friendliest atmostphere you can see they are in the business for love not competition. Kudos to the Yarn Diva!!!!

Great store, great atmosphere, treats you like family, amazing prices. Also open 7 days a week. After to going to all of the knitting stores in the Northern NJ area, this one is clearly the premiere knitting store. Truly deserves an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Just a clarification, Creative Knitworks does not carry Patons and we do carry Noro.

First time at this store the assistant was very nice and somewhat helpful. When asked a question she referred to the owner who was busy doing something in the back but acted annoyed. No real help here! They have increased their selection from months ago but I left feeling their regular customers were more valued than new ones. I bought some lovely yarn though. Went across the street to Yarn Diva and was pleasantly welcomed and assisted. Yarn Diva is my yarn store from now on.

Great staff, great help, couldn't ask for more from a knitting store. Amazing selection and amazing help. It has made many wonderful changes from the past and continues to do so each and everyday! Nowhere else in the area can compare. The big plus for me: open 7 days a week. The owner works long, tedious hours everyday to pull of such an exquisite place.

I also did not feel very welcome there. I 'm not exactly sure why. They don't always acknowledge you when you enter the store. I know is this is a retailing no-no. I've been there several times for small things and to browse.. I feel a little intimidated by them. They do have great hours however. Closing a store at 5 ,like Yarn Diva, just when people are getting out of work doesn't make sense. I'm going to give them a last chance today and see how it goes. I'm more certain about what I want to knit now so maybe if I have a purpose they will be more helpful?
