I stopped in here while my family and I were camping in the area. What a find! The owner, Sharla happened to be in that day. What a nice lady! She was so welcoming, invited me to stay a while and knit, sent my men off to a nearby bowling alley, offered me coffee, and let me peruse her glorious selection of yarns. Don't be fooled by it's southern stature...Crafty Hands hands has wonderful selection of wools in every possible weight and so many luxury choices, I didn't know where to begin. I stayed a few hours and chatted with other local women. Great book selection and very well-organized patterns. (Charla really knew her way around her available patterns!) What a wonderful shop!

The best yarn store by far! I had the luxury of living in Bolwing Green for a couple years. Starlas' shop, Crafty Hands, is a gem of a find. The people that work there are wonderful and helpful to boot and if they don't have the answers Starla surely will. The diverse group of ladies that knit there are so much fun and a joy to be with. I truly miss Starlas' shop and stop by whenever I'm in town. Don't miss out on this shop if your passing by Bowling Green, it's less then a minute off the highway and don't let the big Jewelry Barn sign scary you away. ;)

Lots and lots of yarn, organized primarily by weight. Plenty of patterns, books, notions. Big worktables in the back that always have folks sitting around them knitting, talking, laughing. Makes it a bit hard to shop around the tables, but it feels very friendly. Staff is always very helpful & encouraging.
