Truly a diamond in the rough (if you've been to Germantown, you'll know what I mean). Claudia is always willing to help out - whether it's to help figure out a pattern or to rip out and fix a mistake. If your skills are such that you need to rely on novelty yarns for that "wow" factor, you'll need to visit another store. Claudia has a great selection of natural fibers and her shop is definitely worth visiting.

I discovered Country Wool several years ago. It is a real find, and worth the drive. (I live in Kingston.) The yarns are yummy, and Claudia is always helpful when my needles don't do exactly what the pattern had in mind. There is always a new project or new yarn to enjoy.

Cozy shop in the "middle of nowhere". Good selection of workaday wools such as Cascade 220 and some premium yarn lines like Mountain Colors. The shop is unique for the area in that it carries a good selection of spinning items and fibers.
