I was largely ignored here. Prices are a little high compared to other locations as well. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes before someone helped me. The owner seemed annoyed and frazzled that I was there, as well. Like I wasn't wanted there. On another minor note, the class they were holding had a really loud, sexually explicit conversation. Ew.

I just happened upon this site. Wow! I can't believe the review from anonymous from March 3, 2009. The store I frequent in downtown Detroit sounds nothing like the shop she describes. Great store, great service and a great group of students. I'm not sure what class was going on or when she was in the store but remember, those having the conversation are probably customers.......
Try it again...they have the best selection of yarns in the area and the expertise of the employees is top notch!

I as well had a similar issue as March 9, 2009 on several occassions. I do not know how this store stays in business with their attitude.
