Great location. It's always fun to take a ferry ride somewhere & what's better than taking one to go yarn shopping. They have a good selection, they even sell Socks that Rock. Once you're done shopping head across the street to MORA...it's the best ice cream store I think I've ever been to.

I really enjoyed my visit, and also the ferry ride to the shop. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be back, definitely. Joanne, Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Within walking distance of the ferry dock. Near other interesting shops and restaurants. Fabulous selection of fibers and knitting supplies. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. A ferry ride, a visit to Churchmouse, and a cup of tea make a lovely Saturday afternoon.

I absolutely love this shop, however, I don't get up that way as often as I would like to.
From the moment I laid my eyes on this shop, I loved the store front, the staff, the products, etc.
It is definitely worth a trip to visit this shop a minimum of once per year.
I am all about the experience and a visit to this yarn shop is a great experience.

My last stop on theLYSTour 09. Well worth the wait. The shop is beautiful, the staff are fantastic! Great selection of yarns and the fun twist of the tea shop.

If I have to rate LYS this is my very favorite. The ferry ride is very convenient. Nice walk to town. Churchmouse is yarn heaven. There are lush expensive yarns and reasonable moderate priced yarns intermixed. All well displayed at an easy level. Free shop patterns using many of the yarns. I always find tempting new yarns and things to knit. Also has a tea section. Lovely British tea ware and cups. Owner Kim's husband gives out little cups of tea on weekends. Everything is so nice and well arranged. It is a treat. They also have beautiful needlepoint canvases. Classes are so nice. Very nice guest teachers from time to time. We were one lucky to have an all day class with Lucy Neatby. It there was a knitter's heaven it would be Churhmouse.

This has to be the best yarn shop in Washington. It's a gorgeous ferry ride from Seattle, stocks gorgeous yarn, is next to a killer ice cream shop. The staff is unbelievably FRIENDLY, whether they're offering to wind your balls, giving you biscuits and champagne (Mr. Mouse!) or just gushing over yarn they are always a pleasure.

TAKE THE FERRY TO BAINBRIDGE!! Churchmouse Yarns & Teas is totally worth the cost of your ferry ride!
As a first-time visitor to the Seattle area from Chicago, a ferry ride and island visit was one of my "...must do..." activities. So when a Ravelry friend told me about Churchmouse, my island destination was settled. What a *FANTASTIC* yarn shop!
Not only is there an excellent selection of yarns in a variety of weighs, not only is the layout of the shop intuitive and inviting, not only are there excellent notions and buttons, not only are the teas aromatic and delicious, but knitted- and crocheted-up versions of their house patterns are displayed throughout their store. And hopefully you won't leave until you have investigated them all -- and I'll bet you'll purchase more than one! I'm on my second pattern now and must gush about how well-written and error-free they are.
Once you're in the shopping area, park your car and walk to find the shop. My only criticism is that it's a small sign and somewhat difficult to catch if you're just driving through town. We missed it twice and didn't catch it until we parked and were walking.

By far, the nicest yarn shop I have ever been to. Parking can be a hassle, but just find a place and walk in. It's worth it. So many beautiful fibers, patterns, displays. Everything is pricey, but the quality is there. The staff is so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Do yourself a favor, take your time and your credit card, and check it out.
