This is one of the truly great yarn stores. The have a lot of space, very full of great yarn. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and they have great classes. They even offer knitting tutoring with a Master Knitter!

Huge store, loads of choices. One of the employees is occasionally surly, but all of the others are very nice and helpful. The customers are also very friendly - I've had many fun conversations with fellow yarn-a-holics here.

I love going to the Yarn Basket! My favorite times are when I can go on a Tuesday because of the Knit Clinic from 10-12 with Cindy Hansen. Also if you ever get to take a class with her you will love it. I have also taken classes with Kathy and she is wonderful. And the yarn selection is very motivating.

Another wonderful place to find the yarns you love. Across the street is Boersma Quilting, for those who have many talents.

BTW, I've never had a surly person wait on me there.

My friend and I were travelling through and found this shop by happy accident. One of the best shops I have seen, with good prices, great staff and a terrific selection. Thanks!

The yarn is gorgeous, the staff very helpful, even to a beginner, with color and type suggestions. I lost my pattern and they kindly found another for me!! Worth a trip out from Portland!!
