Your map is wrong. Although the address is correct, the location is shown nearly a mile north of the actual site near Alderson Rd.

They are only open 11-4 on Sundays, so the hours posted here are wrong, Mon-Sat 10-5, and Sunday 11-4..Just so ya know!

I visited this shop on the third day of the LYSTour 09. Well worth the drive to get there. I couldn't believe how many different things that they have in the shop. So much yarn! I found a bag knitted up that I wanted the pattern for, they found it right away for me and they even helped me by giving great suggestions on how to line it with fabric. She was working on lining a bag and showed me all her secrets. Fabulous!

If you're an avid knitter and you are ANYWHERE near Birch Bay (Blaine) Beach Basket Yarn is well worth taking a side trip. Incredible selection and nice people!

Terrific store; one of my favourites. Excellent stock selection, very good book/pattern selection. Uber-friendly staff. (Hi Mary!)
If you're using your GPS to find your way to Beach Basket, use "Blaine" for the town name instead of "Birch Bay".

Luckily, I am fairly close to Beach Basket Yarns and although I have travelled to many yarn shops (as most yarnaholics do!), this is by far my favorite store. The staff are fabulous and the yarn is the best! Once you find this place you will make it a destination to return to as often as you can.

I am the person from Lansing michigan and I really miss being at your store. Your friendliness and helpfulness was just wonderful. I have checked 2 stores in Lansing and the persons working didn't even greet me and when I asked for help, it was only begrudgingly given. I guess I will have to come back to Birch Bay.
