I have only been able to make it out there once, but I did enjoy it! The venue for the store is nice in this little shopping center full of other neat stores and a cupcake place! :) The store seemed a little on the darker side if I remember, and it was extremely quiet (they were going to close soon) - but I LOVED the selections they had of yarn! I also really really really LOVED the tagging system they had on each bin about the yarn contained there in - it made shopping so much easier to look at the colors in the bin (or cubby I guess) and be able to read about it right there instead of pulling a ball all the way out, possibly dropping some, prying at the label to figure out how much was in the ball, and what it was made from - BEST LABELING SYSTEM EVER!!!!
Not sure why the place isn't better reviewed - maybe it's out of the way, but their hours are pretty long for LYS in the area, and they have a pretty good rhythm. The shopping center is a little hard to find and drive to, but the area is nice and the Indian Food place around the corner is REALLY good - make a trip out there sometime if you can cause it's worth just a visit at least!

Love this place. I always get stuck in the alpaca section and the fumes get to my head. Staff is always nice and helpful. Smaller but oh so much better than Weaving Works. The combination of Bad Woman and Trophy Cupcakes is very dangerous, however.

A good yarn shop as far as variety on the shelves, but talking with staff it was painfully evident that there is fiber snobbery going on. I both knit and crochet. I happened to be shopping for a crochet project when I was last in. Do not mention the "c" word here.

I just visited here today on my own personal yarn crawl, I drove by the shop and had to turn around and guess that it might be in the Wallingford Center, something I could have found out, had I looked at their website, but I was being lazy. I've just added that it's actually in the Wallingford Center, and has off street parking which should be up as soon as KnitMap makes sure it's not spam. It's a charming older building, and though the selection wasn't exactly my speed, or dazzling, I can understand it's appeal. The lady behind the counter was nice, and friendly and answered all my questions on their selection of gorgeous shawl pins!

I visited this yarn store when I was visiting Seattle. Their selection was great! I actually found a sock yarn that I really loved and haven't seen anywhere else. Since this was the first shop we went to on our yarn crawl today, however, I didn't buy it, and now I'm seriously regretting it. Especially since I know nothing about it besides the fact that it was a German fingering/ sock weight yarn with really nice colors and was about $24.

The owner was super nice. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. They also had those square circular needles that I've always wanted to try.

I was beyond ecstatic when Bad Woman opened up for business a five minutes walk away from my doorstep!!! It is a very welcoming shop with lots of natural light and the setup is perfectly cozy. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially the owner Lee. It was, without a doubt, my favorite LYS when I was living in Seattle.

Bad Woman Yarn, why is your rating so low? You are my favorite LYS.

Fantastic atmosphere, with the right mix of friendly-but-leave-me-alone-until-I-need-help and check-in-with-me-to-see-how-I'm-doing customer service that _will_ go the extra mile to make you feel valued. This great attitude is why I keep coming back. The selection is pretty decent for a smaller store and their prces rate among the best of the boutique knit shops in Seattle.

I *heart* Bad Woman Yarn.

I've tried to learn to knit several times during my adult life. I never got beyond a lesson or two and much frustration. Last fall, I happened upon Bad Woman Yarn shop, met the proprietors and signed up for lessons. The gorgeous yarns were so seductive and the owners, Lee an Judd, so kind and welcoming. I can now report that I am hooked on knitting. I'm making good progress and want to spend every spare moment knitting. I owe much of my success and progress to Bad Woman Yarn. Lee is a patient, kind teacher. All who work there are likewise. The environment of the shop, in the old Wallingford School, with its creaky wood floors and huge windows, is a very pleasant place to spend several hours knitting. All those cubbies, full of soft and colorful wools, silks, cottons, alpacas, and more keep you motivated to move from project to project. Bad Woman Yarn is a wonderful addition to the Wallingford neighborhood in particular and to all of Seattle's knitters and those wishing to become knitters. I love this place! --Katherine, Seattle
