Great yarn - super friendly and helpful staff. Very fun "sit and knit" in the back from 10-2 on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

A kid friendly store. Terrific selection, and very friendly staff. When I'm in the area, I do my best to make an excuse to stop by.

Overwhelming! but a good place to browse, if you like a place to be seemingly disorganized. Usually not enough on the shelf for a full figured gal to knit a button down sweater, but seem willing to order for you. Friendly staff.

I love Babetta's. Even though it is a good drive for me to get there it is still my favorite yarn shop. Good selection, with yarns arranged by content and weight. Babetta is always right there to help you find what you need. And it is a knit cafe, with a sitting area in the front and coffee and tea for sale.

My only wish from Babetta's is that she were in folsom! LOL!
Love the shop, love the people, love the selection.
Not a snobby, pretentious shop like "Certain" other shops I have been to.

This is my favorite LYS. I don't even think I have gone to the others in my area in the last 6 months...and that is saying alot. Babetta is great--not pushy but always available if you need help, loves kids (she knows my 2), and is always pleasant. Her store has a great selection. I can go in there and ask her something ambiguous like "What would be a good yarn for a purse?" (something I did the other day, in fact) and she always has great ideas. She has a variety of novelty yarn (ribbon, furry yarn, etc.), a wide variety of wools in all weights, both superwash and non-superwash, cotton yarns, synthetics, brand names like Berocco, Cascade, Lamb's Pride, Manos, Crystal Palace, Rowan, Encore, Plymouth, (to name a few, believe me the list goes on), at least 3 bookshelves of books and patterns, nice area with needles from Addi, Bryspun, Lantern moon, etc., and a bargain bin. To top it off, she has a cozy seating area where you can peruse the many patterns for sale. For mothers who can't leave the kids behind (like me) there is a cute little place where they can play while you shop. I am so glad to live close to Babetta's, I don't need to visit anywhere else in town.

They open at 8 now (sweet!) and have a cafe area. Really helpful staff and well-stocked.

Visiting friends and family in the general vicinity and had to go a bit out of my way to shop Babetta's, but I'm sure glad I did! An incredible selection of yarns with goodies like shawl pins and knitting related gifty stuff. I enjoyed a cup of hot tea while I browsed and was thrilled to find many types of yarn I don't see back home. Plan to spend some time as the rather unkempt nature of this shop demands that you really focus on what you're seeing, but it certainly didn't detract from the experience for me. I will definitely visit again - Babetta was charming and considers the shop to be her stash of yarn, so I thanked her for sharing it with us!

Still my favorite yarn shop, even though I don't live in Sacramento area anymore. Babetta and Maya are always friendly and helpful. The place is relaxed and there is plenty of room inside and out for knitting. Kid-friendly. Good classes. Lots of wonderful yarn and plenty of model garments on display to demonstrate the yarn and to get ideas. I love that Babetta is plugged into Facebook and I can still feel like I am there.
