A cute little yarn store in the historic town of St. Michaels, Maryland. Frivolous Fibers boasts the largest selection of Blue Heron Yarns, hand-dyed in nearby Easton, Maryland. For the size of the store, they do have a very good selection of yarns, hooks, needles and other accessories. There was no where to sit and relax except for one large table with chairs but they do make the best use of the space they have. The ladies in the store were so very, very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a trip to the store if you're out on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Very nice store in historic St. Michael's. Selection is a little mixed. There's not much in the way of basics, but they do have a very nice selection of really goooood stuff. Tons of Blue Heron, also a lot of Noro, Sublime, Filatura, and more. Come prepared to spend money - you will want to! The staff could not be nicer! The lady working the day that I came was not only friendly, but took the time to speak to my ten year old son and even let him help her wind a ball of Blue Heron! There are quite a few tools and pattern selection is outstanding.
The store features a comfortable couch to sit and browse patterns on, as well as a table to work at.
While I'm not usually a fan of shared-space yarn stores, this store does it very well. The yarn is given a full section and a large one. The other items (pottery, soap, and decor) are also interesting (and tempting!). I will definitely return to this store in the future.

You guys need to change this page to indicate that you are open on Sundays. I was planning on coming to the Yarn Crawl and would have missed you on Sunday....

We were in Easton Maryland on vacation and stopped into a local shop there without much luck but drove a little further over to St. Michaels and discovered this wonderful shop. Friendly from the moment we walked in, we stayed and chatted for a bit, found some wonderful yarn, and were even invited to stay for a knit night the following day. I wish my vacation had been a few days longer as I would have loved to have gone. I'll have to make sure for next time!

The store changed ownership a while back and it's better than ever! More selection, more rooms to sit, and still the friendliest staff!
