Lots of undyed yarns or yarns spun with interesting textures, as well as wooden buttons, natural fabrics, and knitted clothing/accessories. Easily accessible by local transit and close to other cultural/shopping attractions.

I went once on my own and again with a friend. They do have some wonderful yarns (all their own line) and the prices weren't bad but I'm hesitant to shop there. For one, you can ONLY buy patterns with a kit. Second, the owner/LYSW told me that they don't have top-down patterns. I also have the impression that this store will never have a sale.

It's expensive, and although some of the yarns have great texture, it's sort of the "Gap" of yarn stores - everything, although beautiful, was rather monotone in colour, and nothing really jumped up and said "Buy me!"

We visited this store on Oct 25th/08 and found our visit delightful! The yarns were lovely and varied. The Addi Naturas and Bamboo Clover knitting needles were a very good price. There were many samples of the garments already made, to try on, to help with the selection of a project. The staff was most helpful and pleasant. They knew their products very well and were patient while I made my choices. My 16 year old son was with me and he chose yarn for a hat and again, the staff was really helpful. Yes, the yarn is expensive, however, it is a fine product. It is delightful to knit with and the colour choices were many, yet traditional. The patterns were provided with my wool purchase at no additional charge. It is not at all uncommon in my shopping experience to only get a pattern when yarn is purchased. I have been to several fine owol stores that are happy to sell you $300.00 worth of yarn and then have the nerve to ask for another $30.00 to buy the pattern book when all you need is ONE pattern. This yarn retailer does NOT do this! The actual store is nicely decorated which creates a unique atmosphere. I would rate this shopping experience as 5 stars out of 5! Thanks for such a pleasant shopping experience. I will see you on m next trip to Toronto!

A very expensive store.. but the wool is lovely. I think this store fits in really well with the burgeoning community that is becoming queen street west of spadina. The sales lady was also very sweet and conversational. loved the interior.. a new age knitting store
