This store is packed with interesting yarn. They have lots of sock yarn, including from a few indie dyers and hard-to-find companies. They also carry Louet yarn, which can be somewhat hard to find. Their selection in all categories is outstanding and their prices are fair. Staff is helpful without being insistent.

There is a great selection of yarn here, especially considering the small space. The staff is wonderful and this is always a bonus, especially if you are a new knitter - Not afraid to suggest less expensive patterns to fit your budget! My only issue is that if there are more than 6 people or so in the store, not including staff, it is difficult to move around.

When I visited around 4pm one afternoon, the store was nearly empty except for two employees, one other person, and me. When I walked in, I didn't receive so much as a "hello". When a woman walked in after me, though, there was a chorus of "Hi there, how can I help you?" I understand that I am a college student and therefore less likely to purchase an expensive lot of yarn, but does that make me a less valued customer?

terrible hours. How do they expect to stay in business when people with traditional working hours can't shop at the store?

Whoever buys the yarns for this shop has an incredible eye! There are hand-painted yarns that make me drool and the quality of the yarns is extremely high across the board. They also have a nice (small) collection of buttons. I have to admit that I've never browsed their patterns because the shop is just too tiny to do this comfortably. I've found the staff to be very helpful and friendly although I did once ask if they carried Khroma yarns by the Fibre Company and the woman said, "No!" and walked away. Was it something I said? Otherwise, I have no complaints -- it's a great yarn store and well worth the trip.

Really great selection of yarns, the staff was friendly. But the owner has a terrier that was in the shop both times I was in. I have allergies so did not buy anything because of it.
