We had a server glitch last week that may have caused some problems with the New User Signup process. If you signed up for an account, but did not receive your confirmation email, or are getting an error message that your username is already taken, please send me an email (stacyATknitmapDOTcom) with your username and email address. I can activate your account.

I just discover your site, I like it VERY MUCH. I have to tell you that STITCH DC in WAshington DC has a sitting area with sofas, chairs and a coffee table in the front room, table and chairs in the back room that I think is for classes. Also coffee. I was there last summer and it is very nice with three rooms full of yarn.

Hi, I just found your site and think it is great. I don't have a yarn shop to recommend because there are no shops that I know of in Knoxville where I live. I found one on the other side of town but was unimpressed with it. Lots of yarn but not warm and inviting. There was a sign up that said if you ask for help with a knitting problem the first 15 minutes are free and after that you must schedule an appt. and pay a fee. I was a little turned off by this and wondered if it was the usual way in other yarn shops.

I just found your site and signed up. I hope to check here the next time I plan a "Yarn Crawl". I'd love to find some new places the next time I go up to NH.

Hi,
Just found your site and thought I would write a little something. At one time there were practically no knitting shops in Atlanta, now we are booming with them. I shop several of the shops and each one is unique. One has very expensive yarn, while the other shops carry what most people can afford. I have been a knitter for a long time and for the longest time I shopped at STRINGS AND STRANDS. At times it did not seem the friendliest place to always go but in time and speaking with Barbara the owner, I cleared the air with her and all has been great. Others thought they could do better elsewhere but not long after trying other shops most came back to STRINGS AND STRANDS. We are all human and being human we are not always on our best behavior. I for one know I am not always right.
Remarks were put here that should never have been allowed.
If you are unhappy with a place tell the owner. Don't put the shop(s) down. Say something on the positive side.
If not happy just do not go back to a shop. I am sure that everyone that has been knitting for a while knows that things are not going to be wonderful all of the time.
Just enjoy your knitting and go where you feel the most comfortable.
I did leave Strings and Strands for a place I thought was treating me better, did not take long for the shop to get going and things changed, not for the better. I am back at STRINGS AND STRANDS FOR ALMOST ALL MY NEEDS.

Hi,
I am attempting to place my wool shoppe on your site, but it appears that I am no able to do so for some reason....I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, and was wondering if someone could assist me.
Thank you.
